Almost everyone who has downloaded games or rar splits has encountered CRC errors or in some cases some of the files were deleted by the server or while the files are being held at the servers they got corrupted and recently in Netload’s case some of you couldn’t download the files because of a hard disc crash.So in short you were really P##### off,I myself encounter the same problems when i download games,and to get past this problem I always redownloaded the file till i succeed.So i sought for a solution to this problem it was recovery data at first but it didnt work in all cases,so i came up with something guaranteed to work.
In this tutorial i will explain how to recover your winrar files using .rev files.
Things you should know about .rev files
-You dont have to download the .rev files,if you havent downloaded the rev files you can stil extract your files from the archive if you have all the parts and the parts you have are not corrupted[the reason you get crc or unexpected end of archive errors]But downloading the rev files would be an insurance for you to make sure that you dont encounter any problems.
-You cant recover files more than the number of the rev files,in other words if you have 6 parts corrupted or missing you should have downloaded more than 6 rev files.Having 5 rev files wont work in that case.
-rev files come with the same name and size as the original parts except their file extension is rev instead of rar.[ part1.rev,part 2.rev,part3.rev instead of part1.rar,part2.rar,part3.rar.]
-The rev files name being part1.rev doesnt mean that it can only recover part1,it can recover any of the MISSING or CORRUPTED files.So dont be mistaken there.
-Rev files are different from the recovery data,recovery data wouldnt work out in all cases but this is guaranteed to work and recovering with rev files are much more easier compared to recovery data.
